Today, someone asked me, most likely jokingly, the cheesiest question I have heard since my grade school days, "What is your definition of love?"
And without really thinking, I said in all seriousness:
"Love is the most profound irony in this world - it is irrational but life would be meaningless without it"
And everyone that heard me say that fell silent and I would presume felt awkward. They had the "What the f***" look on their faces.
This is one of the hazards of working late...

I am an Entrepreneurial Agitator
Last June 8, 2007, I wrote:
On doctrine and opportunity
"A clash of doctrines is not a disaster -- it is an opportunity" - A.N. Whitehead
"Therefore, challenging doctrine is creating opportunity" - Mike Calma
It is based on this that I have discovered my real role in the company: an Entrepreneurial Agitator - Someone who starts trouble to create value! A catalyst of creative conflict!
Perhaps I should rename my blog now that I about to graduate from MBA... Let me think it over... DONE!
Also, I Googled the phrase "Entrepreneurial Agitator" (which I have been playing with my head since about a month ago when I was pigging-out during the Christmas break - good food does help in producing insights) and no matches were found. I guess its safe to assume that coined the phrase! :)
